How Does it Work?
Laser hair removal is a process by which the laser machine beams highly concentrated light into the roots of the hair follicles. This light pulses energy onto the follicle. The light converts to heat, and destroys the inner cells (also known as stem cells) without damaging the skin surface. Once the inner cells are destroyed, the follicle can no longer produce hair. The effect is permanent, although it may require minimal touch ups for maintenance.
The laser hair removal process is a simple procedure. There is minimal discomfort involved, and it has frequently been described as resembling “the snap of a rubber band” against your skin. Optimal results require anywhere from 3-5 laser sessions spaced 3 – 4 weeks apart. Annual touch ups are recommended in order to maintain a “hair-free” result.
