Female sterilization is a permanent method of birth control. There are two minimally invasive procedures for achieving this. It works by blocking the fallopian tubes. When couples choose not to have children, sterilization can be a good option. Blocking or sealing the fallopian tubes keeps the sperm from reaching the egg. Without fertilization of the egg, pregnancy cannot occur.

A colposcopy is a special way of looking at the cervix. It uses a light and a low-powered microscope to make the cervix appear much larger. This helps our doctor to find and then biopsy abnormal areas on your cervix.

This procedure uses a thin, low-voltage electrified wire loop to cut out abnormal tissue. LEEP can be used to cut away abnormal cervical tissue that can be seen during colposcopy and to remove abnormal tissue high in the cervical canal that cannot be seen during colposcopy.

Ablation of condyloma (genital warts) involves the removal of the growths or bumps, which can appear on the vagina, vulva (external parts of the genitals), cervix (the opening between the vagina and womb), rectum or groin.
