National Women’s Health Week is an observance led by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Office on Women’s Health. The goal is to empower women to make their health a priority. The week also serves as a time to help women understand what steps they can take to improve their health. The 17th annual National Women’s Health Week kicks off on Mother’s Day, May 8, and is celebrated through May 14, 2016.
The Providers and Staff of New River Women’s Health are committed to helping you optimize your health. We encourage you to visit the National Women’s Health Week website, and take the pledge to be the healthiest you can be.
Start by selection your age group. Once that is done, you will be shown several General Health and Sexual Health suggestions for becoming healthier. Then you will be shown the diseases and conditions that most often affect the women in your age group.
Finally, you’ll be able to see a map that shows how many women across the country are challenging themselves to be healthier.
We’ve taken the pledge for National Women’s Health Week and hope you will, too!
Let’s get healthy together!
